Profile choices make the rest of HIPAAList easier to use because recommendations start with the organization you actually run.

1. Profile drives recommended Areas

HIPAAList uses organization size, HIPAA role, operational areas, services, staff roles, and officer assignments to recommend work that fits your organization.

If the organization changes, update Profile first. HIPAAList can then adjust recommendations and keep stale, no-longer-relevant work out of the main path.

2. Keep officer assignments separate from Staff Roles

Privacy Officer and Security Officer are organization-level assignments linked to staff records. Staff Roles are operational labels such as Providers, Front Desk, Billing, or IT.

Keeping those concepts separate makes document placeholders, training targeting, and staff detail pages easier to understand.
